Well, the fourth of July was a pretty awesome time.  FBRP was in Newport Beach all day, ripping waves and hanging out.  It was great to see some friends I haven’t seen in a while, good times had by all.  However, I do have some things to say.  I wanted to make a brief list of things I noticed from the weekend.

1. I understand it’s the Fourth of July, but do you really need to walk around all day with a GIANT American flag?  Sure, standing in huge crowd is fun, but why not add some dude poking you hard to the ribs with a flagpole?  Now you’re having fun!
2. People trashed by noon.  Come on dude, you have literally ALL DAY long, it seems pointless to blow it out in the first three hours you are awake.  Instead, keep a solid pace throughout the day, inter-spacing it with wave riding and not-getting-hammered.  Insta-solution.
3. Still dont understand the mentatlity of yelling at girls from balconys.  I know your a totally cool dude, and the Ed Hardy hat makes you ultra-rad, but when has yelling ” ooooohhhh!!!!” or snapping your fingers in a “Ali G” esque manner at a girl walking by, EVER, and I mean ever, made them turn around and say ” thank lord you hollered, i’ve been waiting for you for my whole life!”  And run into your arms. You look dumb when you do it.  Do you wake and say to your bro’s “Lets get smashed and objectify women, chicks dig that, woo!”.  I sure hope not. And no respectable girl appreciates that.
4. Who shoots people in the face with vodka?  I mean, at least say “open up”…

Of course, not everyone does these things and on a whole, I think Newport was relatively (take that with a grain of salt) calm this year, compared to years past.  Obviously the Pier is packed, and usually is, but the other end of the Peninsula was very easy to navigate and had a great time.  Thanks to CJ and Andy for letting us stay.  Good times, good friends.

As for FBRP, we are diligently working and planning, getting our ducks in a row and working on the site.  We have decided on our e-commerce server, and it will be fully integrated for all credit cards/pay-pal, all through a secure SSL server.  We want you to feel secure purchasing throughout the internet.

• We are working on new items to give out in your order, so expect something extra in your package, from your friends at FBRP.
• The new webstore can be accessed directly through www.fbrpstore.com This will be up and running in the next 2 months.
• We are working on getting some photography ready for sale too, hopefully available in a few sizes, shipped in nicely protected tubes, right to your door.
